My new album, Factory, is released! I wrote all the tracks with Milton Mermikides, and we even did the artwork…!
The album was commissioned by New Media Scotland for their 10yr anniversary party in July 2009. The commissioned was to produce 8 tracks, all 140 seconds long. Oddly precise, but the reason is simple: to go with these, poet Hannu Rajaniemi and code poet Netwurker Mez were commissioned to write eight “Twitter poems”, each of which are 140 characters long and included clues for the “reality game” that took place at the event.
The challenge of writing varied music within such precise confines is really interesting, and we really enjoyed the process - hopefully you’ll enjoy the album! It was officially launched at the CCA, Glasgow on July 2nd 2009 and is available to download here or from iTunes.
