First performed in April 2008, SPEM is an award winning production featuring six specially commissioned pieces, a unique octahedral speaker setup (provided by Eclipse Speakers) and the first solo instrument live performance of the Tallis masterpiece, Spem in Alium.
With new music from Philip Sheppard, John Metcalfe, Milton Mermikides, Max Richter, Martin Suckling and Thomas Hewitt Jones, it truly is a showcase of new and exciting compositional talent.
The artwork, also inspired by “Spem in Alium” was selected for “Spin” at London’s Design Week. It has since been featured in articles in industry magazines such as Grafik.
After a critically acclaimed CD launch event in April at Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh, SPEM was presented as an Eclipse Masterclass (EMC Series) in Boston, USA at the wonderful Trinity Church (below).
